Dávid Kolodny-Nagy

Dávid Kolodny-Nagy (DKN) is a man obsessed. Drawing, painting and cartooning even before he could walk, this mad yet brilliant genius quickly became infatuated with the film and television medium.

DKN studied film at NYU in the summer of 1995 and went on to direct numerous short films, write several features and delve further into sequential art. Finding his way to California, he further honed his craft at San Diego State where he got his masters degree in film production while garnering the support of the film community by creating Crew Call! -the first and only student creative directory.

In the summer of 2000 he moved to Los Angeles to start Smorgasbord Productions, an indie animation and comic studio. Currently, he has been working in television as a graphic artist. His work can be seen on such shows as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Oblivious, Crank Yankers, Dream Team and others still in production. In his spare time he is storyboarding professionally and developing a pilot for his animated series "Mad Beanz!" There are also plans to direct a live action feature based on one of his screenplays.

DKN is the writer, director, co-producer, editor and animator of the popular short "Spin Cycle." Embracing his hyper-realistic cartoon avant-garde sensibility, this madman director created a witty 20-minute slapstick comedy about Joe, a man looking for love in the Laundromat. Now DKN has co-created "Take 3," a series about competitive filmmaking. As one of the executive producers, he is putting his knowledge of filmmaking and background in game shows to good use to create this highly anticipated program.
